What was Produced
The main thing that separates hunter gatherers and the people of Mesopotamia was how and where they got there food. Hunter gatherers did just that: hunting and gathering food. They did not know how to grow their own food, and staying in one place for to long meant that eventually the plants would all be gone and the animals would be dead. After some time, they realized that they could grow their own food and store it in dry places to eat over the winter and into spring and summer. They could even breed animals so they would never run out of meat!
After many years, people were able to produce enough food for both their families and other families, so some were able to pursue other jobs. This led to more items to trade and ultimately helped Mesopotamia become as successful as it did.
